FBCP Students

Our Mission

"FBCP Student Ministry exists to reach nonbelieving students, connect them with the body of Christ, and grow them in spiritual maturity while challenging them to serve as Christ did and to glorify God in their whole lives."

We want to provide students with a place where they feel safe to be themselves, learn Scripture, and grow in their walk with Christ. We do that by emphasizing five areas we want to see students develop in. Our regular programming and special events are all focused on pushing students in one or more of these areas: Evangelism, Fellowship, Discipleship, Service, and Worship.
We desire to see students be reached as well as be challenged to reach others. We want to see students connect with each other as fellow believers in Christ. We strive to foster personal growth in our students through intentional discipleship. We seek to instill a heart of service in our students. In all things we want to teach our students to glorify God through the living worship of their daily lives. Our hope is that FBCP Student Ministry would be a place where students can find rest for their souls and take on the yoke and burden of Christ.

Connect

Connect is our Sunday Morning gathering time. We meet in the youth room at 9:30am every Sunday for small group fellowship divided by age group. At Connect, we desire for students to make connections from Scripture to their daily lives, connections with students in their age group, connections with our adult volunteers, and connections to the rest of our church body.

Encounter

Encounter is our Wednesday Night gathering time. Doors open at 5:45pm every Wednesday Night for our large group worship and teaching time followed by breakout groups. At Encounter, we desire for students to have life-changing encounters. Encounters with the Gospel, with Scripture, and with worship. It's a place where students can invite their friends to have an encounter of their own with Christ and other believers.

Yearly Events

DNOW Weekend

Our Discipleship-Now (DNOW) Weekend falls every year on MLK Weekend in January. DNOW is a mini-summer camp packed into a weekend long event. From Friday evening through church on Sunday, students will have a life-changing experience full of teaching, discussion, worship, service, fun, and more! Students will stay at host homes over the weekend, which are church families who have graciously opened their homes up for us. They'll be led by their small group leaders for the weekend, and hear from main speakers as well.

Summer Camp

Summer camp is the highlight of most students' year. During the summer we take students who have completed 7th-12th grade to GENERATE Camps by YM360 where we spend a week away from our normal lives and seek Jesus free from distractions together. Camp is a Monday-Friday not including travel time.
